I make books for a living now. I started out as a programmer, but a certain turn of events gave me the opportunity to work on books. I'm truly grateful for that. There were many hard times along the way, but I simply threw myself into the work in front of me.
The books I've worked on are all technical books about software and programming. Most of my work has been translating English-language books or supervising their translation, though there are also a few books I had the chance to write as a co-author.
As I kept working on books, before I knew it more than ten years had passed, and the number of books I'd been involved with had grown to nearly twenty. So in this article, I'll summarize the kinds of books I've worked on.

My first book work was in 2015, so over more than ten years I've been involved with nineteen technical books.
This was made possible by the readers, by the publishers and everyone who took part in making these books, and by the people around me and many others who supported me. I'm truly thankful.
I'd like to tell myself, "You did well." Putting everything into a table like this, I can feel that, little by little, I've managed to build up a track record.
Sometimes I come across a book with my name on it on the shelves of a large library or bookstore. In moments like that, I feel very proud.
Back when I didn't have much money, I often went to the library and borrowed technical and specialized books. The library's books were often a little old, but for me at that time they were a precious source of information, and I learned from them. Now that the internet is so close at hand, few people probably do that anymore. Even so, the books I've worked on might be helping someone somewhere in Japan who is like I was back then, and that thought makes me happy.
I simply love computers and programming, so I want to know more about technology and keep learning. And I'd like to be of help to people who feel the same way.
After a book is published, I sometimes receive harsh feedback. I'll keep listening to those voices as I continue to make good books.
